2026 PORSCHE 911 GT3 CUP - 992.2 IMSA SPEC WITH THE PIRELLI
SPECS:
Performance & Mechanical
- Engine: The 4.0L naturally aspirated flat-six has been bumped to 520 hp (up from 510 hp). It features optimized individual throttle valves and camshafts derived from the GT3 road car engine.
- Braking System: This is a major area of upgrade. The front discs remain 380mm but are now 35mm thick (up from 32mm) with larger internal cooling channels. Combined with the new dedicated air ducting from the front nose, brake fade is significantly reduced.
- Drivetrain: A new, more robust sintered metal racing clutch handles the power delivery to the 6-speed sequential dog-box.
- Steering: The steering angle has been increased slightly to help with tight hairpin rotation.

- No Laptop Needed: A new touchscreen display allows teams (and drivers) to adjust basic settings and diagnose faults directly from the car without needing to plug in a laptop—a huge quality-of-life improvement for privateer teams.
- New Steering Wheel: The wheel has been redesigned with simplified buttons and dedicated rotary dials for ABS and Traction Control settings, making mid-race adjustments more intuitive.
- Safety: Additional foam impact protection has been added around the driver’s leg area.

- Revised Front Fascia: The most obvious visual change is the front bumper. The central radiator has been moved from the front to the rear (similar to the GT3 R), which allows the massive central intake to be used exclusively for brake cooling.
- Fender Louvers: The front fenders now feature integrated louvre vents (gills) on top, which help evacuate high-pressure air from the wheel wells, increasing front-axle downforce.
- Rear Wing Updates: The swan-neck rear wing remains, but the connection points and adjustment mechanisms have been revised to make pit lane setup changes faster and easier.
- Brake Light Strobe: A new safety feature includes a stroboscope function in the brake lights to alert following drivers during heavy braking zones or safety car periods.
